After doing sites on Pearl Jam and The Beatles, it was a no-brainer that my next site would be on The Doors. 

The Doors had that underlying somewhat dark theme that they stayed true to, and their name was derived from a line of poetry by William Blake, "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it truly is, infinite."

This site was done in layers like my Beatles site.  First the lyrics, then song facts, then biographies on each of the band members - The Lizard King Jim Morrison, organist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and lead guitarist and co-songwriter Robbie Krieger.  Lastly, I added a sound and video section. 

On a side note, it's well known that Jim Morrison died at the age of 27 in Paris.  His grave is a very popular tourist attraction in Père-Lachaise Cemetery.  Fellow Doors fan, David Estrada, actually visited the grave in Paris and created a short video of the trip.  He was kind enough to let me host the video of his trip to Morrison's grave here.
