The Fart Sounds page came about some time in late 2005.  I was cleaning out my old email at work and came across a joke that was distributed years earlier on the different types of dumps.  I thought it was funny then and still funny now, but it gave me the idea of doing the fart website.

I was looking to do another simple site and I figured this might be one I could do in a single day.  I was right but the overall look of the website is still horrible.  It didn't really matter though because the type of audience that lands on this site probably doesn't care.

In starting this website there wasn't much research that needed to be done other than just finding a name.  I couldn't just call it 'Fart' because nobody who is creating a website as late as 2005 would ever be lucky enough to rank high in search engines with a single word search.

So I used some internet tools to find the best word to use in association with 'Fart'.  It wasn't as obvious at it seems but I believe I did pick the best one.

The Fart Soundboard seems to be a very popular part of the site.
