This Vincent van Gogh site was done either in late 2004 or early 2005.

Creating this site spanned a couple of weeks mainly because of the 800 van Gogh Letters I collected and posted on the site.  I never quite got around to finding a nice format for them so they still look kind of slopped on.

This van Gogh site has had a shaky past.  I first hosted it on my old Worldnet account but when the service was going through a bad time and running too slow, I decided to move it to my Classic Rock Lyrics domain.  Now being new to SEO (search engine optimization) at the time, I had no idea this was going to kill my search rankings and cause all of the pages to fall into Google's infamous supplemental  index, which is exactly what happened.  I didn't have access to the Worldnet server to provide a 301 redirect (which is the correct procedure to use when moving sites).

So after the move, traffic on the site was virtually dead - and figuring this site didn't really belong on a lyrics site anyway, I just moved it for a last time to a domain with the term 'vincentvangoghart' in it.

Can this van Gogh site recover after finding what should be it's last home?  I hope so.
